The contemplation of the globe is a looking forward on the part of a child to a time when they will be free to do as they choose, go where they please and not be shackled by the perceived restraints of parental and educational authority. … Thankfully there exist artists like Ewan who can succinctly make commentary on the cultural obstructions that are faced as a child and as an adult within our contemporary reality while at the same time poking fun at that which would otherwise be a tool of repression." |
