Mudroom

MUDROOM is a new and permanent feature of Artspace's programming and a unique complement to the main schedule of full exhibitions by contemporary Canadian artists. MUDROOM focuses on local talent and artists at all stages of their careers working in Peterborough and surrounding areas. It is a home to cross-disciplinary projects and ideas and dedicated to providing resources, critique, venue, and many other tools for artists living and working in this community. It is specifically local and experimental, shaped by local interests and needs and as it grows, the aim of MUDROOM is to become an incubator for contemporary art practices in Peterborough with a mature dialogue on related issues.

Short exhibitions, spontaneous and experimental in nature, special projects as well as the Scrutinize Series (of lectures, workshops and discussions) all belong to the MUDROOM.
